STARS in the SKY at NOONTIME

A short time ago, I went for a walk.

It was with my Father in Heaven, that I needed to talk.

I felt sad and alone and perplexed as could be

For God, so I thought, had forgotten ‘bout me.

Others had questioned of where He had gone.

He seemed nowhere in sight, not at night or at dawn.

Some of His children felt that they’d been forsaken.

And their faith in His Word, now seemed to be shaken.

It was said He was outdated, and passé’ it would seem,

For its hard to believe in something, you’ve not ever seen.

And in looking at the world and the trouble that’s there,

It might seem to some that God doesn’t care.

As I rolled a mustard seed around in my hand,

I prayed to the Father with all of my might.

To tell me the Truth and show me the Light,

That God was still God over all of the land.

And just as I thought it was never to be,

A warm friendly glow was enveloping me.

My Spirit was lifted, it shouted with glee.

And this was the answer, an answer for me.

For then in all of God’s infinite wisdom,

He revealed a part of His so special kingdom.

It had always been there, right in front of my eyes,

But I had been blinded by so many lies.

For up through blue skies and clouds of all white,

Was the very same view that I’d seen in the night.

The stars were still there, just hidden from sight,

By the noonday sun that was oh, so bright.

And I started to think and I wondered aloud,

If this was why Believers, are so confident and proud.

Because in their hearts, so joyful and true,

They know God is there and will help pull them through.

Their eyes do not see Him but they know in their Spirit,

And their faith in His Word, is what He holds dear.

The Word is the Truth, you just have to hear it,

And trust in it always and He will appear.

Like the stars in the sky at noontime seem hidden,

Not believing they’re there, it’s yourself you are kiddin’.

God is not seen but He’s felt in your heart

And if you believe, He will not be apart.

He’ll never forsake you or leave you, it’s true,

But, belief in His Word is still up to you.

So now when I look up, into the noontime skies,

It’s the stars of God’s Heaven, I’ll see with my eyes.
