Noonstar Barbeque Baked Beans |
This is the way I make up baked beans on the grill. It’s different than the regular baked beans we do but it’s fairly quick and ………..I like ‘em !! They taste kinda smoky and spicy with a hint of sweetness. I put everything in an enameled pie/cake pan that is approximately 10” in diameter so that it fits on the wire rack on my grill, about 6 or 8 inches above the grilling surface. Just make sure the pan you use will set on the rack without falling off and that you can still close the grill’s lid. Ingredients: 1 can of Bush’s Best beans – either the 28 oz. Original Baked Beans or the 22 oz. Grillin Beans (Bourbon Style) 2 tablespoons of Open Pit Original barbeque sauce 1 or 2 (your choice) tablespoons of Blackstrap Molasses Pour the beans into the pan and add the barbeque sauce and molasses. Mix it all together and then put it on the grill when you first start grilling so it has time to really “bubble” as it cooks. Don’t worry about the extra liquid as it will thicken as it cooks. Remove the pan when you determine it has cooked long enough (it all depends on the heat you are using - they should be really "bubbly"). Place pan on a hot pad or trivet and serve right from the pan. It’s better if you don’t mix it up before serving. (at least I think so) |
